For over one hundred years the Shroud of Turin has been studied and is the most researched icon in the history of humankind. Shroud Studies from the Science and Faith Institute of the Pontifical Athenaeum Regina Apostolorum is done in collaboration with Othonia, the International Center of Sindonology of Torino. Along with the Diocesan Center of Sindonology Giulio Ricci of Rome, this is currently the center for scientific studies being done by scientists from around the world.

As a result of the research accomplished by dozens of different disciplines*, we find, once again, that everything is connected and such collaborations now lead to conclusions that debunk all controversies.
For two thousand years we have had the burial cloths that covered Jesus' body. Authenticity of the Holy Shroud of Turin can no longer be disputed. Jesus' linen Sindone not only gives us a photograph of Jesus' face, but His whole body front and back, fully crucified. An image made a nanosecond before the resurrection. There are no viable theories left or evidence to present a possibility of forgery. Evidence from multiple fields of disciplines, including some of the examples below, give us facts such as:

"The dirt found on the Shroud by the nose, knees, and feet, tell us from under the microscope, that the makeup is of Calcium Carbonate with a small amount of Strontium (atoms #38), and has a Travertine Aragonite crystalline structure that matches soil in the grottos of Jerusalem like a fingerprint."
